Our home

Just a small post today with a few photos of our caravan as today is a stay in working day. Our caravan is a 4 berth 2007 model Lunar Solaris with a fixed double bed. Had this caravan almost a year now and it should last us quite a few more years as it is in very good condition and has a yearly full service. We also have an awning, our 3rd this year. First one blew away in a storm (it was rotten and old), second one blew up! (inflated by air and the hot weather made it explode).

Our caravan on our summer pitch, connected up to electric and water supply.

This is our awning furniture (photo taken in previous awning, new one similar). Awning is a decent size - 240mm x 390mm. Gives us plenty of outdoor living space and the dog sits out there most of the time during the summer. Furniture from Argos and all flat packs down to fit under the bed for storage when not in use.

The front can be converted into a double bed to sleep two more people, table pulls out at front which I use as my office.

Our 38" TV fits nicely, complete with blu ray player and Xbox. A good selection of DVDs and games stored in the cupboards above. Fire (either electric or gas operated) and central heating system keeps us very warm on colder days. Gas gives extra heat if needed on days that fall below 0°.

Our kitchen with everything we need, gas oven with grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, sink and out Tassimo coffee machine. Complete with quite a bit of storage and an extra pull out table.

Our bedroom, plenty of storage space and very comfortable. Toilet and shower room at the back through door.

The smaller 24" TV/DVD player now goes in the bedroom that we use to watch at night. More storage space and a full size wardrobe also.

Then right at the back we have our shower room, that gives us a very hot long shower. Can get around 6 minutes out of it before it starts to go cold.

And ... our chemical toilet, very easy to operate and empty. Some people say that these toilets smell, but we use the correct chemicals and make sure all the seals are in good order and there is no smell at all, just like a toilet in an ensuite bedroom in a house.
